That makes it even easier then yeah. Either way so long as there is a record shouldn't be too hard to keep track of all this stuff for going up and down DP levels. Not like it is going to happen that often anyway.

The more stuff is seperated from the game, the more we engender people to metagame, in my opinion, and we want to avoid that. Having the systems remain in the game (as much as we reasonably can) keeps it to people whom are engaged in the game doing anything with consequences. I don't mind the forums being used as for example people writing biographies, or keeping a logbook, since these would both require elaborate systems that only a fraction of the userbase would engage with, but for simple stuff we can keep in game like tickets - or in this case, a simple variable of the lowest (highest? ;) ) they've gone, is easy to do.

I'm envisioning something like the examine tool which gives a message to the own player, and to DMs.
We might also have a message for players, Im on the fence about that. Maybe not for the historic highest/lowest, but maybe they're current one.
