Multi-classing rules

While we may adopt specific rules about certain class combinations as need arises, the governing principle of our approach is to be as minimalist with restrictions on story and player as we can.

At the present time, the limit on number of classes is 3. This limit can be lifted on a case by case basis, and players wishing additional classes can petition on the forums or in game through the ticket system to do so.

In general, the classes you have should reflect your character's progression and story, rather than chasing mechanical advantage. Players whom roleplay supermen are going to be expected to explain how their progression reinforces that. We prefer characters to play out flaws, and those that don't will be held to a higher standard than those whom do.

One note:
Please note that due to the way we allow case-by-case exceptions for multi-classing, you will be able to select a fourth or above class on level up even without DM approval, however, the level will be reverted if you are above your current allowed cap.
