Closed Discussion: Virtue
Re: Open Discussion: Virtue
Agreed, sounds fine to me. Have the feat point them to an in-depth Innocents guide to be published on the forums so they're fully aware. Do a writeup that more or less references the previously mentioned sources in this thread, done and dusted.
Re: Open Discussion: Virtue
So I'd make the chart then:
Moral (good pc start)
Penitent (neutral pc start)
Unclean (evil pc start)
Tainted (dp 1)
Corrupted (dp 2)
(dp 3)
(dp 4)
I would propose Blessed be above moral but not something normally achievable unless you're Innocent and take the feat to changeover, or have a plot reason (ie, something we consider to be a "test of virtue") Innocent can be a feat taken by those whom want to "buy in" to playing a super moral character.
How's that sound?

Re: Open Discussion: Virtue
Sounds good to me. Blessed requiring a plot event to happen makes sense.
Re: Open Discussion: Virtue
So I am working on this now as my test case for persistence. I am going to make a function to "Examine" the character to get these additional fields, such as virtue.
Rather than just spitting out the title, I would like it to give a short string, so it's a little more diagetic. Something like "They seem to be a moral and upstanding person."
Anyone have suggestions for how they'd like that to be?

Innocent (This Individual seems to embody idealism and truth)
Moral (good pc start) (This individual gives the aura of hope and peace)
Penitent (neutral pc start) (This Individual seems to have no aura at all)
Unclean (evil pc start) (This individual seems callous and uncaring)
Tainted (dp 1) (This individual has an overwhelming aura of malice and contempt)
Corrupted (dp 2) (This individual extrudes an aura of intense hatred and malice)
DP 3+ No change from DP2

Re: Open Discussion: Virtue
The first implementation of the Virtue system will be live in 0.1.20 but for the time being you will only be able to examine your own.
Doing so on others (subject to some manner of Wis or maybe even Sense Motive check) will be implemented at a later time.
Since we have an idea of how we want this system to look, I think I'll consider this discussion closed, but if bugs appear, feel free to make bug reports.
