Faction play on a persistent world is one of the attractions of these worlds. However, NWN's inbuilt faction system is full of ugliness, so I will probably write my own whole cloth.
I will have the system have a concept of rank, and also of some special titles, for example an inquisitor in the church of Ezra is somewhat removed from the actual hierachy.
I also plan to have two "kinds" of factions: origin factions (outlanders, barovians, dementlieuse, etc), and the actual factions (garda, Ezrans, etc).
I plan to implement factions for the Zeidenberg Garda, the Church of Ezra, and the Cult of the Morninglord, at the start.
Since this system is mostly being made out of whole cloth, we can do what we want with it. Is there specific things you'd like to see?
